Vaughan Park is a fabulous venue for your business meeting, group gathering, retreat or special event.  Our team has extensive experience in hospitality and our chefs create the tastiest and enjoyable food to enjoy. 

Vaughan Park has 18 single and 10 twin share rooms. Rooms are in four lodges and a separate wing in the Thomas Vaughan Lodge.  Each room is equipped with a desk, comfortable chair, hand basin and wardrobe and opens out into a courtyard or garden.  All lodges have lounges with tea and coffee-making and quality bathroom facilites.  There is guest Wi-Fi and full cellphone coverage.

Additional people can be accommodated as day guests.

    The Thomas Vaughan Lodge

    The Thomas Vaughan Lodge is the main lodge building in the Centre, with two well-equipped conference/meeting rooms: Thomas Vaughan – upstairs and John Priestley – downstairs, holding 40+ and 50+ people.  There is also a spacious lounge and a dining room.

    The separate Forrest Wing within the Thomas Vaughan Lodge, has four twin-share and two single rooms.  

    Easy access to the flowered and attractive courtyards and broad decking give panoramic views of Long Bay beach and the Regional Park and offer a peaceful and beautiful place to sit awhile.

    Named after Thomas Vaughan who was the local farmer who in 1963 kindly and generously donated the 12 acres of land within which Vaughan Park was built.

    The John Priestley meeting room in the Thomas Vaughan lodge is named after The Hon. Justice John Priestley, Chairman of the Vaughan Park Governance Board from 2002 - 2011

  • Margaret Vaughan Cottage

    Margaret Vaughan Cottage

    Named after Thomas Vaughan’s mother, the Cottage is a multi-purpose conference/meeting room, especially suited for groups of 12 to 15 people.  Designed to be a comfortable and functional room, the Cottage has all the facilities that you will need for your gathering.  Ocean views from the Cottage and access to the surrounding courtyards and gardens offer a very pleasant and quiet space.

  • Clare House

    Clare House

    A comfortable house with three twin-share and one single room, the large lounge area  seats up to 10 people and is fully equipped for meetings and/or small resident groups.  It is an attractive day venue with a lounge opening out onto a large deck affording fabulous ocean views and lots of sunshine.

    Clare House is named after St. Clare of Assisi, one of the first followers of St. Francis of Assisi and honours Vaughan Park’s first custodians.

    Ceiling mounted data projectors are available in Thomas Vaughan, John Priestley (downstairs) and Clare House Meeting Rooms: $100 per booking.

    Vaughan Park has disabled and wheelchair access and amenities throughout the Thomas Vaughan Lodge. The Bishop Te Haara House and Forrest Wing also have wheelchair access, giving a total of 17 beds in 12 rooms.

    We have designated Mobility parking spaces.

  • Day Visitors

    Groups using the Centre can invite day guests to be part of their resident-stay programme at no additional charge.  We do, though, appreciate an early indication of numbers attending so that we can allocate the best sized room for you.
